'American Idol' Finalist Performs BADLANDS Classic
May 18, 2005"American Idol" finalist Bo Bice (photo) performed an "incredible" a capella version of the BADLANDS classic "In A Dream", off the 1991 release "Voodoo Highway", during last night's episode of the hit talent contest.
Commented BLABBERMOUTH.NET visitor Rumblintrainz: "Bo could never live up to the awesome talent [of] BADLANDS vocalist Ray Gillen. Who could? But nevertheless Bo made the song his own and rocked the house. I think Ray (R.I.P.) and Jake E. Lee [BADLANDS guitarist] would have been proud of his performance."
Late last month, Bice became embroiled in controversy after TheSmokingGun.com reported that the singer was arrested twice in the past four years on drug charges, according to CNN.com.
"From the beginning, Bo was honest and forthcoming in revealing his previous indiscretions and their outcome," Fox TV said in response to the report.
TheSmokingGun.com, citing court documents, said Bice, 29, of Helena, Alabama, was arrested in 2001 on a felony cocaine possession charge.
That charge, as well as a marijuana possession charge stemming from a 2003 arrest, were both dismissed after Bice completed a program for first-time offenders, the web site reported.
